Microsoft Foundry (formerly Azure AI Foundry) is a unified platform-as-a-service that use large language models (LLMs) to perceive their environment, make decisions, and take actions to accomplish goals going beyond simple chatbots by maintaining state, using tools, and operating in loops.

The course covers Foundry platform fundamentals, model catalog and deployment, AI Services (Vision, Speech, Document Intelligence), the Foundry SDK, AI Agent Service, RAG with Azure AI Search, fine-tuning, evaluation and safety, observability, enterprise security, and certification preparation.

Key certifications include AI-103 (Developing AI Apps and Agents on Azure) and AI-901 (Azure AI Fundamentals). Both validate skills in building, multi-step AI agent workflows as directed graphs.
